On March 17, 2015, Pauline Garabedian-DeFreitas, Managing Director of Health Solutions Inc. (HSI), was invited to make a presentation to the membership of the American Medical Students Association (AMSA) at the Saint James School of Medicine in Cane Hall, St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The presentation and following discussion with participants concentrated on the functions of the Kidney and overall Kidney Health for the AMSA members who are all aspiring medical practitioners.
Mrs. Garabedian-DeFreitas was able to openly interact with persons who attended the presentation and discuss the impact of both diabetes and hypertension on kidney disease and/or failure and how HSI is assisting Vincentians not only through the provision of dialysis services but prevention and or management of these two diseases to ensure that they, separately or together, do not develop kidney disease, and if they do, how they can live with kidney disease and/or failure.
HSI would like to extend its gratitude to the Faculty, Staff and AMSA at the Saint James School of Medicine for extending the invitation to us and to all persons who attended the presentation.
